Omeruo out of Ukraine friendly

Few days to the international friendly match against Ukraine, Nigeria's Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo has decided to excuse himself from the team.

BSN reports that the former Sunshine Stars of Akure defender joined the Spanish side CD Leganes on permanent deal this season from the English Premier league side Chelsea.

Omeruo opted out of the international friendly match between Nigeria and Ukraine so as to be able to complete the processing of his work permit that is presently working on.

Omeruo played for the club last season on loan and was one of the outstanding player which actually prompted the club to approach Chelsea for his permanent acquisition.

He played an active role in the Nigeria side that came third at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt .
