  Kenya Premier League Signs Bumper Deal With Startimes By Sampson Adedeji With barely two days to the start of their new Premier League season, Kenya league body has secured a bumper seven years broadcasting deal with Startimes, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The president of Kenya Football Association, Nick Mwemda, announced the partnership through the country social media handle on Thursday afternoon. "This is a seven year deal, each year the league will receive 1.1 Million USD with an increment of 5% every year and an option to renegotiate in the sixth year", he said The league which was founded in 1963 was stable until the late 1990s and since then its performance had been considered below average, with many of the league's clubs having little or no finances to support themselves. When television right was introduced, the league was give financial boost with teams becoming professional and the majority of the clubs managing to get kit sponsorships. This saw the level of competition improve compared to past periods. Gor Mahia is currently the champions of league after winning it last season.
