  Kick-off Date For WAFU Zone B Remains Unchanged, CAF To Communicate Match Venue To Nigeria By Niyi Busari Flying Eagles coach, Ladan Bosso has said that the kick off date for the WAFU Zone B championship is still intact despite Togo decision to withdraw from hosting of the competition, BSNSports.com.ng can report. This means that the first match of the competition between Togo and Niger Republic will hold on November 18th as scheduled. CAF has also communicated to the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, that Ghana and Niger Republic have shown interest in replacing the former hosts, Togo. With this in mind, the opening game which was scheduled for Stade Kegue in Togo may turn out to be played at Niger Republic backyard. Speaking with BSN Sports, Flying Eagles head coach, Ladan Bosso said; "We have official message for that, even if Togo is not hosting the date of the commencement still remained, its just a change of venue and they said they will get back to us in the next 48 hours to know the new venue. Bosso told www.bsnsports.com.ng "I was privileged to have gotten that information when the CAF secretary called from Cairo, I was around and said it's just unfortunate that it has happened that way and that we should continue with our arrangement. He said Ghana and Niger has been on standby so either of these two will host. "I think we prepared for the kick off on 18th and if eventually it happens that day is still good and if they shift it still good, you know as a coach you must flexible" He concluded Flying Eagles who are in group B of the WAFU Zone B championship slated to hold in Togo will slug it out with Ghana and Ivory Coast for the 2020 African Nations Cup. The WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship is an association football tournament that is contested between national teams of Zone B of the West African Football Union . Seven teams were drawn in two groups of four and three. WAFU Zone B member teams were Ivory Coast, Niger, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Nigeria, Benin Republic and Togo. Togo (host), Benin Republic, Burkina Faso and Niger are in group A. The 2020 WAFU B championship commences on November 18th and ends December 2nd. The winner of each group automatically qualify for the CAF U20 African Nations Cup.
