Korean Ambassador Cup: Ifeoluwa, Olayinka, NSCDC, ABU Zaria, Others Win Medals in Taekwondo Competition

The three day international standard national referee workshop which started on 8th to 10th October 2018 ended with certification of the trained and qualified referees who attended the training at the Package B of the National stadium, Abuja.
The end of the referee training and certification marked the beginning of the 3-day Korean Ambassador cup from 11th to 13th October at the indoor sports hall Package B National stadium, Abuja.
Ifeoluwa Ajayi from Team Q-Madi emerged the male Most Valuable Athlete, Olayinka Olawunmi of Team Oyo won the female Most Valuable Athlete, Shamsudeen Useni from Team Ogun bagged the Best Coach award, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC won the Overall Best Team, Best Referee is won by Mrs. Winifred Eleni, Ahmadu Bello University of Zaria emerged the team with highest number of participating athletes with 149; 104 male and 45 female.
Nigeria Taekwondo Federation, Technical Director, Mr. Chika Chukwumerije (OLY) thanks the volunteers, praises the ministry of youth and sports development for supporting the event with facilities and other logistics.
Chukwumerije also thanked the Chairman Technical and Development Committee, Alh. Sani Lawal, President Taekwondo Federation of Nigeria, Mrs. Margaret Binga as well as Korean Embassy in Nigeria for the consistency for supporting the Korean Ambassador Cup event which has become one of the cornerstone Taekwondo tournament in Nigeria.
