KRC Genk Cancel Match After Eagles Striker Tested Positive For Covid-19

Belgium league giants KRC Genk have announced that they have cancelled the pre-season friendly match that supposed to take place on Wednesday night, after Super Eagles of Nigeria sriker, Paul Onuachu tested positive for Coronavirus.

It was reported that the former Belgium league champions have planned to play Belgian lower league side Eendracht Termien on Wednesday, but the match was called off after the result of the test carried out came back positive.

Paul was in Nigerian for the burial of Victor Osimhen's father few weeks ago, and he went under quarantine for few days (after returning back to Belgium), before he started training with the other players ahead of their preseason matches.

The Nigerian star is now the only player tested positive for the Covid-19, and he has now been put under isolation again.

Belgian Pro League was ended halfway due to Coronavirus Pandemic last season, and they've decided to start 2020/2021 season on the 8th of August.
