Emenike joins Westerlo

After weeks of training and discussions, Belgium league side KVC Westerlo announced the capture of former Nigeria's Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike.

BSN reports that the power playing striker has been unattached since 2018 after his contract was terminated by Greece league side Olympiakos.

Emenike has in training and playing trial matches with Westerlo over 3 weeks ago, while his representatives also continue having discussions with the club over his move.

The club announced his signing on Monday afternoon and also welcome him to their folds, as the club continue to vie for honours in the Jupiler league.

Before moving to Belgium, Emenike has played in Russia, Turkey, Spain and Greece and also has 37 caps for Nigeria senior team.
