La Liga: Chukwueze lead Villarreal to victory

Nigeria's Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze continues to make headlines in the Spanish La Liga with his excellent performance this season for Villarreal.

2019/20 season has been an amazing one for the youngster, he put up a scintillating display for Super Eagles at the African Cup of Nations in Egypt and also has a game to remember against Ukraine in an international friendly.

Villarreal hosted Real Betis on Friday and it was Chukwueze introduction in second stanza that actually secured the game 5-1.

The game stood at 1-1 until his introduction in the 51st minute for Roi Gomez, his blistering run threatened Betis defenders and they conceded 3 goals in quick succession before he added the 5th goal in 90+5 minute.

Former Golden Eaglets star was in Thursday nominated for the Europe Golden Boy award and his present performance may earn him the crown.
