La Liga: Nigeria Stars Resume Full Training On Monday Ahead League Resumption

Nigeria internationals plying their trade in the Spanish La Liga will resume full training with their various clubs on Monday after Spanish government gave the league management the go ahead.

After the government of Spain eased the lockdown, football club were allowed to train in batches while they also undergo compulsory covid19 test.

The Spanish league says full team training sessions will resume Monday, ahead of the first match to be played following the coronavirus stoppage.


La Liga said the government gave authorization on Saturday for squads to practice together.

The league, which has been on hold since March 12, will restart on June 11 when Sevilla faces Real Betis without fans. The 11 rounds remaining are due to be played until July 19, according to the government.

Defenders Kenneth Omeruo and Chidozie Awaziem are playing for CD Leganes, midfielders Ogehenekaro Etebo and Ramon Azeez are with Getafe and Granada respectively while winger Samuel Chukwueze is on the pay roll of Villareal.
