La Liga: Omeruo's Leganes Part Ways With Head Coach

The club of Nigeria's Super Eagles defender CD Leganes of Spain has announced the departure of his head coach Javier Aguirre, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Leganes failed to survive the drop on Sunday after they played out a 2-2 draw against Real Madrid which confirmed the club relegation.

The club via its website on Monday evening confirmed the departure of the Mexican coach and appreciate him for a job well done.

" The club thanks Javier Aguirre and his coaching staff for their professionalism and treatment during these months, in which he took over the bench in a difficult situation and kept the team alive until the last play of the season, staying one goal away from achieving the permanence in the First Division.

At the same time, he wishes them the best on a personal and professional level in their next stages," the club said.
