La Liga Restart; Our Aim Is To Avoid Relegation - Omeruo

As Spanish La Liga set to resume, Nigeria's Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo has stated that the aim of his club CD Leganes is to avoid relegation.

Since the beginning of the season Leganes has been struggling at the other end of the table losing some vital games and points, BSN Reports.

Omeruo recognised the difficulty of playing behind closed door but believe that they can actually rise up to the occassion.

"We are playing without our fans at home so we must be more focused, but I think it could work in our favour, I hope it does,” the Nigeria international told the club website.

“Our chances are more or less the same. We have to grab it, we have the opportunity to avoid relegation and we are working hard to achieve it.

The 19th placed Leganes will face Real Valladolid at Estadio Municipal de Butarque on Saturday, June 11.

Omeruo is expected to be in action alongside his compatriot Chinedu Awaziem.
