Lagos City Marathon: Revolution Plus Donates N500m as Sponsor

Access Bank Lagos City Marathon is #500 million richer as RevolutionPlus joins the Race By Olusola Adebayo Revolution Plus has been named as the new title sponsor of the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon ,the organiser have announced. In a well attended press conference in Lagos at RevolutionPlus headquarters, the marathon project consultant Bukola Olapade announced the new partnership with the Estate and Real property company. A partnership he describes as a dream come true “Since July 2105 when began plans for the Lagos City Marathon, we dreamt of having on board a property development company as a partner. I’m so happy that the dream has come to past. This is a partnership that will be beneficial to us, the company and Lagos State as a whole, ” said the former Commissioner for Sports in Ogun State. The sponsorship deal worth #500 million naira and will see Revolution plus enjoys the benefits of title sponsor for the next five years beginning from the 2019. The managing Director of Revolution plus,Mr Onalaja , in his remarks says the company was attracted by success of the events over the last three editions and beyond their cooperate Social Responsibility the company is hoping to benefit from the millage provided by the event as it will also draw more awareness to their brand. “One thing you can’t take away from the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon was that on the day of the event, Lagos was always practically shutdown. The awareness is huge and everybody knows that a marathon is happening in town. So identifying with such a brand will definitely add values to what we are doing as a property development company, ” Onalaja said. The Access Bank Lagos city Marathon made history when it was awarded a Bronze label by the International Association of Athletics Federation just after the second edition, a feat only achieved by the Brighton and Bournemouth marathons. The Event which started in 2016 and have attracted the over two hundred thousand athletes all over the world
