Lagos Coaches Election: Moses Ikpo Vies For The Top Position By Sampson Adedeji Ahead of the Lagos State Coaches Election, head of Alimosho Football Coaches Council, Ifeanyichukwu Moses Ikpo, has declared his readiness to contest for the Chairmanship position in the upcoming Lagos State Football Coaches Association, LSFAC, BSNSports.com.ng reports. During his discussions with BSN Sports, Ikpo said he has the wherewithal to correct all the anomalies that had bedeviled Lagos state grassroots coaches. “I am coming out to contest for chairmanship seat because I observed that a lot of things have gone wrong in the association for the past few years. I have seen my colleagues in this profession who are lamenting and struggling for survival and I am not happy about the way and manner coaches are being treated by employers and downgraded in the society. We can only get it right if the right person is in position of power because he would put measures in place that would make coaches being honoured by the employers and command respect in Lagos. “Aside this, if I am elected as chairman, a lot of things, ideas, innovation would be injected to the association, and coaches would never be the same during my administration,” he said. Ikpo said he has consulted some critical stakeholders in the state and they have given him their blessings to contest for the chairmanship seat of the association. He boasted that he has achieved a lot as a leader in Alimosho Football Coaches Council saying that during his own tenure, the council has secured sponsorship deal with sports manufacturing company for the Alimosho league, organize award night for players and coaches and ensure that all members are treated equally irrespective of age, religion, tribe and educational background," he concluded. For the top position, Ikpo will slug it out with David Dosu, Fredrick Yamala and Hassan Tairu.
