Lagos, Edo, Kano reject SWAN Election guidelines

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Lagos, Edo and Kano State Chapters had on different Emergency Congress held at their state secretariats on Friday have rejected the Guideline for the oncoming 2019 SWAN National Election.

The three Chapters unanimously though release of three different communiques vehemently distance themselves from the guidelines published by SWANECO ahead of the National Election among which are;

i) Stipulated fees for the collection of forms which are excessive

ii)The cumbersome process of screening which takes almost a week

iii) The non specification of date and venue of the election.

Lagos on its part further commended the efforts of SWANECO chairman who choose to resign his post owing to some disagreement over the election guidelines.

Edo State chapter demonstrated 100 percent supports for its chairman Ahmed Aigbona who is eyeing the position of National SWAN President.
