  Lagos, Oyo Win Big In First Games As Rising Stars U16 Basketball Championship Begins By Niyi Busari Lagos, Oyo and Osun won their first matches in the match-day 1 of maiden Rising Stars U16 basketball competition which dunked off on Monday at the Sports Hall of Akure Township Stadium, BSNSports.com.ng reports. In the first game of the competition, Oyo defeated Ondo 59-34 while Ogun bowed to Osun 50-66 in the second match. Lagos recorded the highest scoring points after running riots over Ekiti 83-24 in the last game of match-day 1. Hostilities resume at 1:00 pm today when Osun and Oyo will slug it out for the either side to pick their second win of the championship before Ekiti try to redeem their battered image against Ogun who also lost its first match at 2:30 pm. The hosts, Ondo with have to depend on home support  and put in everything to escape second loss in the hand of talented young lads from Lagos at 4:00 pm.
