Lagos State Governor assures Minister of Sports of State's readiness to host the world

The Governor of Lagos state, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has assured of his State's readiness to host the world for the FIFA Under-20 Women World Cup when the world football body hands Nigeria the hosting rights of the competition.
He gave the assurance on Saturday in Lagos when he went on an inspection tour of the stadium's facilities in the company of the Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Hon. Sunday Dare who is in Lagos after his earlier visit where he promised to return to the National Stadium, Lagos, in his quest to turn around stadiums and sporting facilities in the country.
Accompanying them under the heavy downpour were the Deputy Gov. of Lagos Femi Hamzat, NFF 1st Vice president Seyi Akinwunmi, NFF board member Aisha Falode , Lagos Sports Commission Chairman Dr. Kweku Tando, the DGs of Bureau of Public Enterprise and Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission amongst others.
The Minister Hon. Sunday Dare, in a tweet shortly after the inspection tour, thanked Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his Deputy for "plugging into the renewed zeal to restore sporting facilities to the glory they deserve", while also agreeing that Lagos is indeed ready to host the world.
The inspection team also visited Teslim Balogun and Onikan Stadiums.
