The partnership between Lagos State Referees Council and Owu Sportswear marks the beginning of good things to happen to both parties.

This is the prayer of the managing Director of Owu Sportswear, Barrister Tunji Brown, who is confident that the brands decision to kit Lagos Football Referees will change the narrative that quality kits can be produced by Nigerians.

“Let me start by thanking the leadership of Lagos State Referees Council led by Engineer Adams Salauddin and his members for believing in the Owu brand and for agreeing to this partnership which signals a new dawn in how our referees will appear and be appreciated during games.

“It is also a clear message to the rest of the country that we can compete with other international brands if given the opportunity,” he explained.

The Ekiti State born legal practitioner turned kits manufacturer charged other referees societies across Nigeria to take a cue from Lagos state as a way of encouraging indigenous kits manufacturers in the country.

The kits which were first used during last years final of the FA Cup in Lagos and in the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) come in 4 colors of White, Ash, Double shade Orange and sea blue, with sublimation patterns to make them attractive and appealing.
