Leave Office, Face Corruption Charges, Taribo Tells Pinnick
By Admin
Super Eagles legend Taribo West is not a big fan of Amaju Pinnick right now.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president Pinnick has caught the strong criticism after his recent alleged misappropriation of a $9.5m FIFA grant.
West, formerly of AC Milan and Inter Milan, clearly and very directly suggested Pinnick should simply step down to end his tenure as the head of Nigerian football.
“The present led administration of the Nigeria Football Federation should leave office. I believe the time has come to leave office,” West told Brila.
“In a country where justice is being done with principle, order, equality of rights and honesty. Those being probed should leave the office”.
West’s Nigerian honours include playing in the Gold winning Nigeria U23 team in Atlanta 96 - while he also played World Cup football at France 98 & Korea Japan in 2002.
West did not complete his reaction without adding a word of God. “I think that’s one of the greatest things that can happen to person of my kind. I think that’s the best that can happen to any man for the hand of God to find one in the world of football and bring back one to doing the things of the lord and giving back to the society,” concluded the former defender.
