Leeds United are interested to sign the Nantes winger Moses Simon in the summer transfer window, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Leeds United are among several Premier League clubs including Newcastle United who have a severe interest in signing the Nigerian winger. Reports say that Nantes will be prepared to sell the winger if suitors meet their demand of £20 million for the 26-year-old.
The Nigerian have a contract till 2024 with the Ligue 1 side and believes that it is the right time to get a move away from Nantes with several Premier League club interested to secure his services in the summer.
Moses Simon joined Nantes on loan from Levante in 2019 and the move was made permanent in 2020. The 26 year-old started well in the French league by scoring 5 goals and providing 5 assists in 25 starts in his first season.
This season he has been one of the key players for the Ligue 1 side scoring thrice and providing six assists in the process. He has shown that he has the potential to make a big impact in the next stage of his career and a move to the Premier League seems eminent with Nantes also prepared to sell him.
The Nigerian international also did a fine job for his country in the AFCON. He bagged up a goal and assist in just 3 appearances in the tournament. The 26-year-old will use his good performances from the AFCON to get a move away from Nantes in the summer, with significant interest from the Premier League in the winger but it remains to be seen if Nantes can get at least £20 million for the him with his contract running out in 2024.
