Leicester City To Offload Iheanacho To Raise Fund

The exit gate appears opened for Nigerian striker, Kelechi Iheanacho as Leicester City have concluded plans to put him on the transfer market.

The club, which just missed the top four cut in the English Premiership plans an overhaul of the squad. Iheanacho did not feature prominently in the team at the just concluded season.

Daily Mail has reported that Leicester City are planning to sell the Nigerian strike. The reason is to raise fund to sign on Celtic forward, Odsonne Edouard

Iheanacho, who scored nine goals in 25 appearances for the Leicester this season, is seen as an option that could be released for Leicester to buy in-demand Edouard, whom Brendan Rodgers is keen to reunite with after his spell at Celtic.

Meanwhile, Premier League rivals Aston Villa are believed to be interested in Iheanacho, who moved to the King Power Stadium from Manchester City three years ago.
