Leke James’ winning Goal Qualify Molde For Champions League 3rd Round

Leke James was instrumental in ensuring that his Norwegian club, Molde made it to the next qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League.

The UEFA Champions League Second Qualifying Round game between Molde and Celje at Stadion Z’dežele on Wednesday saw the former grabbing a 1-2 win.

M. Lotrič scored the first goal of the game for Celje in the 38th minute before Molde come back. E. Hussain started the comeback for Molde in the 57th minute before Leke James’s winning goal in the 74th minute. The Nigerian played for the duration of the game.

Leke James has scored eight goals in all competitions for Molde this season. His other goals came against Aalesund, Stabæk, Viking, and Odd in the Norwegian Eliteserien.

Molde currently occupies the second position in the Norwegian Eliteserien table with 34 points from 16 games. Celje on the other hand occupies the 10th position in the SNL table with no point from one league game.
