Former Akwa United attacker Ndifreke Effiong was the cynosure of all eyes in the Libya premier on Wednesday despite his club Al Ahly Benghazi inability to secure maximum points in their match, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
The hardworking attacker was the star performer in the Promise Keeper team that lifted the league last season despite not finishing the season with them his goals still propelled the team to the title.
He joined the Libya side in loan before making the move permanent after a decent outing with the team.
Ahly Benghazi drew their game against Shabaab on Wednesday, the result that did not go down well with Effiong but he quickly shifted his focus to the next match.
"Not the result we wanted, we gave our best but it ended in a draw.
