Ligue One: Lorient Signs Nigerian Forward
By Sampson Adedeji
French Ligue one side, FC Lorient, has announced the capture of Nigerian international, Terem Moffi, from Belgium Jupiler League Club FC Kortrijk on a 4-year deal for Eight million Euros, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
After recruiting Adrian Grbic from Clermont Foot in early July, FC Lorient has continued to expand its workforce a little more, on the offensive side to maintain its grip in the league.
The 21 year old had in the past played for two Lithuanian clubs, FK Zalgiris Kaunas and FK Riteriai, where he notably participated in the qualifying round for the Europa League before he left for Belgium.
“I am very honored to wear the Lorient colors and to play in Ligue 1. I have worked a lot in recent seasons to get this wonderful opportunity. I join a high quality group, with talented players and it's up to me now to show my qualities to impose myself among the Hake. I am impatient to make my debut with FC Lorient and to make my contribution to this club which has placed its trust in me ”, he told the club website.
Moffi scored 5 goals in 9 matches for Kortrijk last season.
