LMC Recommends 5-year Ban For Erring Referees

The League Management Company, LMC, has unveiled the plans to sanitise the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The LMC has recommended a 5-year ban for any referee that is found culpable in the oncoming NPFL season.

The LMC recommended the 5-year ban on Friday in Abuja in their Annual General Meeting to herald the new season which begins on Sunday.

A total of 15 referees were suspended in the league last season for poor performance and unprofessional conduct.

However, twelve teams will be in action today in the mach-day one of 2019 NPFL. 24 match officials will be deployed to different match venues to take charge of the six matches.
