LMC Shifts Ground Announces Plateau United Banishment From Ilorin To Lafia

The League Management Company, LMC, has announced that Plateau United will play their next two home games at the Lafia Township Stadium, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Plateau United was initially banished to play the next two league home fixtures in Ilorin following the fans maltreatment and assaulting of match officials.
In a statement made available to www.bsnsports.com.ng dated 23rd January, and signed by Chief Operating Officer, LMC, Salihu Abubakar in a response to a letter previously written by Plateau United management seeking for review of the banishment of the club to Ilorin, the LMC considered the appeal and changed its initial decision.
The letter which was addressed to the General Manager of Plateau United reads in parts;
"Having considered your appeal, the LMC decided to move your remaining two home fixtures for the remaining of the ban to Lafia Township Stadium Nasarawa state.
"Kindly ensure that all necessary arrangements are made to host the game successfully, "the statement noted.
Plateau United had on 2019 NPFL Matchday 1 game against Ifeanyi Ubah which ended in a draw, saw the home fans assaulted and descended on the match officials.
In its reaction, LMC fined Plateau United Five million (N5m) naira and banished the club to play their next three home games in Ilorin.
The 2016/17 NPFL champions have played one of their home league game in Ilorin which ended in a win for the home team.
Plateau United are placed 4th on the log of Group B of 2019 NPFL table , having played four games, won 1, drew 2 and lost 1.
