CAFCL: Lobi Stars suffer defeat on Abidjan

Nigeria's representative in the CAF Champions League, Lobi Stars suffered 1-0 defeats in Abidjan against ASEC Mimosa in the second match group game.

The Pride of Benue who recorded 2-1 win over Mamelodi Sundown of South Africa in the matchday One traveled to Abidjan with high hope but narrowly lost to Coted'Ivoire Premier League champions.

Despite Sunday Adetunji being a constant threat to ASEC in the first stanza, it was hosts that scored from the spot in 13th minutes through Ahmed Diomade.

The Nigeria champions tried to fight back but the Abidjan based team stood their ground to secured maximum three points.

Lobi Stars is yet to pick away win or draw since the start of this year CAF champions league.

Wydad Casablanca will be the next opponent of the Nigeria side.
