Lobi Stars moved out of the relegation zone in the Nigeria Professional Football League table following a hard fought 2-1 win against MFM in their rescheduled matchday- three encounter at the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi on Wednesday, BSNSports reports. Former Enyimba midfielder Dare Ojo gave Lobi Stars the lead in the 16th minute. However, the Olukoya Boys restore parity in the 28th minute through Chijioke Akuneto goal via Michael Ohanu’s cross after a good counter-attacking move. Bashiru Monsuru scored the winning goal for the hosts 20 minutes from time. Despite the defeat, MFM FC maintain top of the Group with 18 points from nine matches. The Lagos club side will entertain Bendel Insurance in their next league game at the Soccer Temple Stadium, Agege on Sunday. Lobi Stars will face Ivorian side ASEC Mimosas in their final CAF Champions League group game in Enugu on Sunday having no chance of progressing to the next round of the competition.
