Lobi Stars To Play Wydad Casablanca Saturday - CAF

Nigeria's lone representative in the CAF Champions league, Lobi Stars will play their CAF Champions Leagues matchday 3 tie against Wydad Casablanca on Saturday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium, Enugu, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

CAF has notified 2017/18 NPFL winner, Lobi Stars and Wydad Casablanca that the is scheduled for Saturday and not Friday as it was earlier reported in the media.

A source close to the camp of Lobi stars revealed to www.bsnsports.com.ng

"CAF has notified us that the match is scheduled for Saturday and not Friday. Yes, they arrived yesterday (Wednesday), thinking the match is billed for Friday but the match has been shifted to Saturday because all other CAF Champions League matches are to be played on Saturday.

The reliable said that Lobi Stars were not informed by the former CAF Champions winner that they will arrive on Wednesday.

"They did not inform us that they are arriving yesterday, we know how they try to play smart on away soil but we are ready and will play along with them.

He disclosed why Lobi Stars cannot execute the match in makurdi, though, according to him, Makurdi may host other subsequent Lobi Stars CAF Champions league matches.

"We can't play in Makurdi for now because the Moroccan will like the match played in the night because they believe they can easily adapt to night cold weather in Nigeria as they are in winter weather." He concluded.
