Lookman
Ademola Lookman scored his fourth Premier League of the season which proved futile as Leicester lost 2-1 away to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday, BSNSports.com.ng reports. In the matchweek 26 fixture at Molineux Stadium, the hosts broke the scoring in the ninth minute as Raul Gimenez teed up Neves for an outside-the-box shot which bounced past goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel. Four minutes to half-time, Lookman drew the visitors level, tapping home from close range after Marc Albrighton delivered a ball across the face of goal. In the 67th minute, Podence fired another shot from outside the box past Schmeichel, benefiting from a Leander Dendoncker set-up. It was Wolves’ first time scoring two goals from outside the box in a single Premier League game, in what was their 290th match in the competition. Also in action for Leicester were Lookman’s Nigerian teammates Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi. While Iheanacho came on in the 73rd minute for Patson Daka, Ndidi was replaced by James Maddison on 74 minutes. The last time Leicester won a Premier League game was 28 December, 2021 when they beat Liverpool 1-0 with Lookman getting the goal. They are now in 11th place on 27 points while Wolves move up to seventh on 40 points.
