German Bundesliga U23 outfit Fortuna Dusseldorf II were beaten 3-0 by SG Wattenscheid 09 in their Regionalliga West fixture over the weekend.

Newly capped Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye was in goal all through 90 minutes for Fortuna Dusseldorf II and shipped in three goals in the process.

This, however, takes the number of goals he has conceded to 17 just after making six appearances for the club this campaign.

According to TransferMarket, show that Okoye has not been able to keep a clean sheet in all the games he has featured this term.

The 20-year-old German-born Nigerian star recently made his international debut for the Super Eagles in their friendly meeting against Brazil at the Singapore National Stadium earlier this month.

Okoye came in as a substitute for injured Francis Uzoho, who twisted his knee while trying to keep the ball off his goalpost in the 60th minute.

As the three-time African champions start preparations for 2021 AFCON qualifiers, Okoye’s performances in his club might force Super Eagle’s head coach Gernot Rohr to go shopping for a new goalkeeper since Uzoho has been ruled out for about six months.
