Maduka Okoye Sets Sight On AFCON Sampson Adedeji Nigeria's Super Eagles and Sparta Rotterdam goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has set his eyes on the 2021 African Cup of Nation for more exposure, BSNsports.com.ng can report. The Nigeria international took a major step in his young career during the week as he joined English premier league side Watford FC. Okoye made his debut for Nigeria in an international friendly against Brazil and went ahead to secure 13 caps for the country. While speaking to the club's media, Okoye considered AFCON as a big platform to represent one's country. “I’m looking forward to the AFCON in January, it’s a big platform for every player and a big chance for me to represent my country in such a tournament," he said. Nigeria is among the countries that will compete for honours in the biennial tournament slated to kick off on the 9th of January till February 6th, 2022.
