  Maiden Oyo State Junior Golf Clinic Declared Open By Admin The maiden edition of the Oyo State Junior Golf Clinic has been declared open by the State Government. Speaking at the event, the Permanent Secretary, Oyo State Ministry of Youths and Sports, Mr Oludele Oyadeyi encouraged the young ones to make good use of the opportunity giving to them at this clinic. Mr Oyadeyi, who himself tried his hand on the Golf range through the help of one of the coaches, promised that talents discovered at the clinic will be nurtured to become Professional Golfers. The event, aimed at introducing teenagers to the game at an early age is not just a clinic but also a competition. On Day 1 and 2 of the clinic, participants were taken through the rules and and etiquettes of the game, how to grip the club, and proper swing. The annual tournament, according to the Initiator, Hon. Tobi Oyewunmi, S.A on Sports Development to the State Governor, was in line with the state Governor's agenda to use sports to empower youths and check their restiveness. The Weeklong clinic, which teed-off on Monday will end on Saturday, April 17, 2021 with over 100 participants across the state taking part.
