  Maiden Rising Stars U16 Basketball Championship Dunks Off April 25 By Niyi Busari The maiden edition of the Rising Stars Under 16 Basketball Championship will dunks off from 25th April through to 1st May, 2021 at the Indoor Sports Hall of Akure Township Stadium, Ondo State, BSNSports.com.ng can report. The seven-day basketball tournament is sponsored by Olumide Oyedeji Youth Foundation, the president Nigeria Olympian Association will see not fewer than 60 boys from the South-West region sweating it out on the court. According to the former D'Tigers captain, all the six states from the South-West will compete for the honours in the inaugural edition of the basketball tourney. The Championship will also come with life skills learning, excursion, coaching clinic, career talks and motivational speech to help shape the future of the young talented basketball players. The program is one of the Foundation's programmes to promote the game and engaging youth at grassroots for basketball development while discovered exceptional talents will be given an opportunity of scholarship abroad.
