Maja Hints At Dumping Nigeria

By Sampson Adedeji

Newly capped Nigeria's Super Eagles striker Josh Maja may dump Nigeria and stage a return to England senior national team.

The power playing striker was born in Lewisham, near London about 21 years ago and represented England Junior Three Lions at all levels, BSN Reports.

Maja made his debut for Nigeria's Super Eagles in an international friendly match against Ukraine in 2019 where he played for 5 minute.

While speaking in France, Maja said though he has played for Nigeria in a friendly match but that has not change anything if he wish to switch allegiance again.

“ I felt very good during this selection. I entered the field for 5 minutes, perhaps. It's the best for my family to play for my country.

It went well, it was satisfactory. If that means I have chosen my country? It was a friendly match, so I always have the choice of my selection, ”said Maja.

Maja netted 6 goals for Girondin Bordeaux in the French Lique One this season.
