Man City End Liverpool Unbeaten Run, Throw League Open

English Premier League champions, Manchester City ended Liverpool unbeaten run after a 2-1 victory in week 21 EPL game at the Etihad stadium on Thursday, BSNSports reports.

Sergio Aguero put the hosts ahead in the 40th minute before Liverpool forward Firmino restored parity in the 64th minute.

Leroy Sane scored the winning goal after Raheem Sterling accurate pass found Sane for a cool finish with 18 minutes to the end of the tension soaked match.

The win has further thrown the league open as Manchester City now trail the league leaders, Liverpool with four points.

Liverpool have lost 10 of their last 25 matches in all competitions under Jurgen Klopp in the month of January (W8 D7), making up 29% of his total defeats as Reds boss (10 of 35).

Leroy Sané has been directly involved in 26 goals for Manchester City (9 goals and 17 assists) in 25 league games at the Etihad Stadium since the beginning of last season.
