Mane, Mendy, Aboubakar Win Awards At 2021 AFCON

Senegal have been crowned champions of Africa for the first time in their history after 4-2 defeat to Egypt.
Senegal defeated Egypt in the penalty shootouts to lift their first-ever AFCON title, despite losing a penalty six minutes into the game. The Teranga Lions however held on and won the trophy.
Meanwhile, as the AFCON tournament is over, great performers in the tournament were awarded with prizes.

Sadio Mane: The Senegalese star won the player of the tournament award, with 3 goals, 2 assists, and 2 man of the match awards. Mane helped his country win its first ever AFCON trophy.
Vincent Aboubakar: The Cameroonian captain won the top scorer award with 8 goals. His double against Burkina Faso won the host nation the bronze title.
Eduardo Mendy : The Chelsea goalkeeper kept 4 clean sheets and conceded only 2 goals in the tournament. He won the tournament best goalkeeper award. This is his fourth final since he joined chelsea .
