Maracana, Waco win as FCT League second stanza gathers momentum By Amaechi Agbo Basic Maracana FC this afternoon defeated Thrift Echos in the second match of Matchday 2 of the second phase of the FCT League. Basic Maracana's Abraham Sule scored a brace in the 18th and 80th minutes of the encounter to give his side the comfortable win.  Basic Maracana tops Group D with 3 points. In the first match of the day, Kadiri Attah scored first in the 27th minutes to hand Catholic Cadet the lead in their match against Waco FC  but Elias Omoniyi scored 9 minutes later to cancel out the lead. Joseph John scored Waco Academy's second goal in the 59th minute to hand the club their win to top Group C. In the matches played on Monday, Flomat FC defeated Premier FC by alone goal while Fosla FC and FC Liberty settled their encounter in a 1-1 draw.  Action resumes in the FCT 2018 League on Thursday as Wednesday is rest day for the clubs. Hostilities will resume on Thursday, 8th November, with Premier FC taking on Fire Service FC in the first match of the day by 2pm. Family Worship Centre FC will entrain FC Liberty in the second match by 4pm.
