Match Against Corruption gets more boost

The ‘Match Against Corruption’ between international legends and Nigeria league players and entertainment stars got more boost on Thursday as the Buhari Campaign Organization has thrown its weight towards the successfully hosting of the game.
The organization in its letter to the organizers of the match, Canada based Nigerian, Abi Goodman, the national coordinator of Buhari Campaign Organization, Alhaji Dalandi Garba Pasali said that the efforts of the Nigerians who planned the game was a worthy venture which should be supported.
Pasali said BCO was exited to support in the hosting of the match planned to sensitize youths in the country on the ills of corruption and keep the hope of the nation alive.
“We are particularly excited as this initiative aligns with our political and social outlook for this year,” Pasali said.
Also speaking, the BCO’s Director General on Diaspora, Dr Mohammed Nasidi said the move to educate the youths using football and entertainment as the medium to kick out corruption was coming at the right time when President Muhammad Buhari administration was in the forefront to take the country to the right path.
Nasidi said the move by Nigerians in diaspora to key into the efforts of the present administration drive to in restoring the dignity of the country back at the local and global levels.
The match organizer, Abi who is the Chief Executive Officer of OZ Consulting Firm, said two matches are billed on the card in two states in the country.
Abi said the drive to key into the anti-corruption fight of the government was necessitated her zeal to help correct the narratives.
She said the best way to kill corruption from the root is by involving the youths through enlightenment and sports, adding that over 10,000 volunteers are in the social media using the planned match to call for more understanding from Nigerians to wipe out the menace.
On her part, a senior member of the organizing group Samira M Ibrahim, said the decision to put up the match was to support the drive of the present administration under President Muhammadu Buhari quest to help restore sanity in governance in the country.
