Mauritania raises $13.7m for AFCON 2019 By Sampson Adedeji Ahead of the 2019 African Cup of Nations, debutant Mauritania has succeeded in raising over 13 million US Dollar for the competition. The secured their qualification for the very first time at the expense of more established footballing nations. The country's Football Federation raised $13.7 million with the Prime Minister of the country donating $109,290. Each member of the country government cabinet donated $27,322 to the team. Mauritania alongside Madagascar will playing in the 2019 AFCON for the first time in their history. The competition is scheduled for Egypt in June.
