Mbappe, Neymar star as PSG stun Bayern in thrilling match at Allianz Arena

Mbappe,
Paris Saint Germaine recorded an impressive 3-2 win away to Bayern Munich in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final played at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night.  Starmen Kylian Mbappe and Neymar starred for the Parisians, with the former scoring a brace, while the latter provided two assists. Marquinhos scored the other, with Bayern's scored by Maxim Choupo-Moting and Thomas Muller. The hosts got off the blocks first and Choupo-Moting almost gave them the lead in the third minute, only for his header to cannon off the post. The visitors then got the opener in the eighth minute after a fantastic team move which freed Mbappe in the area and he made no mistake with a lovely finish into the bottom right corner. As expected, the hosts got back into the game, and almost equalized in the 10th minute after Muller carved a great chance inside the six-yard box, but directed his shot into the middle of the goal, allowing Keylor Navas to pull off an exquisite save. Julian Draxler then thought he had scored in the 12th minute, but his effort was ruled out for offside. Navas was then called into action again in the 19th minute, this time keeping out a  Leon Goretzka header after he made clean contact with a ball floated in from a freekick. The visitors however doubled their lead against the run of play in the 28th minute, and it was Neymar once again who picked him out with a beautifully lofted ball. Choupo-Moting then halved the deficit in the 38th minute with a bullet header, but still trailed 2-1 going into the break. Muller then pulled Bayern level on the hour mark as Joshua Kimmich sent a cross in from the set-piece and Thomas Muller leapt highest to connect with it on the edge of the six-yard box to send the ball into the left post. Any hopes of a win were however dashed eight minutes later as Mbappe got to the end of an Angel Di Maria ball and hit a fine first-time shot into the net from close range. Both sides had a number of chances to add to their tallies, but in the end, the Parisians left Germany with a crucial win, even though the tie is far from over.
