Medvedev Claims Fourth Career Title After Sofia Open Win

Russia's Daniil Medvedev captured his fourth career title on Sunday by beating Hungary's Marton Fucsovics 6-4, 6-3 in the Sofia Open final.

World No 16 Medvedev had too much firepower for his 47th-ranked opponent as he added the Bulgarian crown to wins in Tokyo, Winston-Salem and Sydney in 2018.

"I'm happy to win the title -- this is what I came here for," said Medvedev, who will fly to Rotterdam alongside Fucsovics on Monday to take part in the ATP event next week.

"I was the better player today and I deserved to win," Medvedev said.

"This title gives me a lot of confidence he added.
