Mikel Obi Delighted Over Kuwait Deal By Sampson Adedeji Former Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder and captain John Mikel Obi has expressed his joy over his recent move to the Kuwait league, BSNSports.com.ng can reports. The skilful midfielder surprisingly parted ways with the English championship side Stoke city on Thursday and signed new contract with Kuwait Sporting Club. The newly appointed Nigeria youth ambassador on Friday speaks through the club social media handle and promise to give best for the club in the coming season. "I am very happy to sign for Kuwait SC, I thank the President of Kuwait SC for the trust that he has given to me to come to Kuwait. “I promise to be on my best level to help the team to make sure that together as a team we can achieve a great season next year and hopefully we can be successful”. He said. Mikel immediate target is to lead Kuwait SC back to the league title they last won in the season of 2018/2019 season.
