Mikel, Onazi Describe Rohr As 'Liar'

The duo of Super Eagles stars Mikel Obi and Ogenyi Onazi that were dropped from the list of Eagles players invited for their next African Nation Cup tie against South Africa and friendly match against Uganda few days later in Nigeria has labelled the German tactician, Gernot Rohr as 'liar' over the coach excuse on reason they were not invited for the two international matches.
Rohr had reportedly claimed Mikel Obi asked to be excused from the national team, Mikel on the other hand maitained that he remained committed to the team.
Rohr had, while defending his call ups, said Mikel has taken a sabbatical leave from international matches but the Tianjin Teda of. Hina midfielder not only downplay the speculation over his future in the Eagles,he equally said he is still committed to the national team.
The German football tactician was forced to admit that his captain doesn't want to represent his country for now.
"Mikel told me that he will tell me when he is ready to come back to the team.
He didn't tell me yet so, I wait, said Rohr to KweseESPN. I hope we can go to the Nation Cup with him and possibly win.the title with him."
However, Mikel while speaking with footballlive.com although admitted facing some fitness issues but insisted he has not quit from the national team.
My commitment to the national team remain 100%. I still remain part of the team and will always support them.
The nation's cup remain our ultimate goal for now and we are just one point away from reaching the the target."
On Onazi, Rohr claimed the Trabzonspor midfielder opted out due to lack of match fitness he is facing recently.

"Onazi had a problem with injury he left Uyo before our match against Libya. Rohr told KweseESPN.
"I have to beawre of players fitness level before inviting them, we cannot be using injections on Achilles tendon before the games."
