Mikel resumes training with Trabzonspor

Former Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder and captain John Mikel Obi has resumed training with his new club Tranzonspor, in Turkey, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Mikel who signed a 2-year deal with the club in June arrived Turkey on Tuesday and was welcomed by the club management and fans.

He resumed training on Thursday morning alongside Black Stars of Ghana forward Caleb Ekuban who also played at the 2019 African Cup of Nations.

The Nigeria star spent last season on loan with the English championship side Middlesbrough but refused to sign an extension with the club.

Acquisition of the experience former Chelsea player will help the team as they will be competing for glories in the domestic league and UEFA Europa League.
