Mikel Eyes England Return

Few days after leaving Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor, former Nigeria international John Mikel Obi has declared his readiness to continue his career in England.

The former Chelsea midfielder left Trabzonspor last week after the Turkish league continued amid corona virus crisis around the world, BSN Reports.

Mikel spent last season with England championship side Middleborough before he agreed a 2-year deal with the Turkish side.

“Now I’m focused on a new page in my career. I do not know where next but want to be close to my family, my house. Maybe England, I do not know yet. Together, we’ll see what happens.” Mikel told The Athletic.

Mikel who spent 11 years at Chelsea also played for Chinese Super league side Tianjin Teda before playing for Middleborough.
