Minister of Sports Celebrates Osimhen's Record Move To Napoli

The Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare has celebrated Victor Osimhen’s African record move from Lille to Napoli after a blistering debut campaign while also challenging the growth and development of Nigerian youth talents.

Osimhen who joined the Ligue 1 side from Chaleroi after many failed trials had been subjected to several big move from various suitors including the likes of Inter Milan, Dortmund before sealing the deal with Gennaro Gattuso’s men earlier this week.

Sunday Dare tweeted on his official twitter handle, "I celebrate today Victor Osimhen, Nigerian Professional footballer for the height he has attained. His recent exploits and signing signposts the boundless natural talents and brilliance of our youth if given the opportunity to showcase. Victor, a true Nigerian brand!"

The striker, who scored 18 goals in 38 appearances for the Ligue 1 side in the 2019-20 season, moves to Naples in a deal reported to be worth €50 million (£45m/$59m).
