Morocco set to appoint Blanc as coach

The reports coming from Morocco suggested that the Morocco football federation has concluded plans to replace Herve Renard with another French gaffer.

Renard tendered his resignation letter after the Atlas Lions of Morocco crashed out of 2019 African Cup of Nations round if 16 to Squirrels of Benin via penalty shootout which plunged the future of the French into a serious doubt.

The reports has that the football ruling body in the country has concluded arrangements to announce former Les Bleus gaffer Lauren Blanc as the coach of the team.

Blanc who has handled Girondin Bordeaux and Paris St German in the past has being out of job after his departure at Parc de Princess.

His task is to return Atlas Lions to echelon of Africa football by qualifying the country for 2021 African Cup of Nations and 2022 FIFA World Cup.
