The letter sent to Adepoju states that he will be entitled to some benefits as an Ambassador of the Confederation. The African Minifootball confederation, also referred to by its abbreviation, AMC, is the administrative body for minifootball in Africa. It is one of six continental confederations of world football's governing body, the World Minifootball Federation. Tunisian Achref Ben Salha is the first president of the body and the Somali Abdelkader Mohamed is the vice-president. Mutiu Adepoju who played for Nigeria between 1990 and 2002 making a total of 48 appearances and scoring six times will now be the face of the Confederation. The attacking mid-fielder spent most of his career in Spain, amassing La Liga totals of 175 games and 22 goals over the course of seven seasons and representing mainly Racing de Santander and Real Sociedad. Nigeria will host the second edition of the African Minifootball Confederation (AMC) Cup of Nations in Ibadan the capital of Oyo state in Nigeria from July 8-17.
