Former Nigeria international Mutiu Adepoju has called on the Super Eagles to step up their game ahead of the Russia 2018 Fifa World Cup. They made the call in the wake of the team’s 1-1 draw with DR Congo in a freindly played on Monday in Port Harcourt, Rivers state. “With all the friendly matches played so far and the upcoming encounter against England, I believe they will help the coach to make the right decisions,” Adepoju, who featured for Nigeria at the 1994 and 1998 world Cups. “I hope the best 23 will be selected,’’ he said, adding that the team should do more to be at their best before the World Cup. Nigeria are in Group D alongside Argentina, Iceland and Croatia for the tournament that begins on June 14 and ends on July 15.
