Ex Super Falcons captain and Rivers Angels midfield maestro Evelyn Nwabuoku expressed sadness over the performance of Rivers Angels in the recently concluded Super 4 at the soccer temple, Agege.

" I was very optimistic that as AITEO cup champion we would win the Super 4 and emerge double champions.

Unfortunately it didn't go that way. We gave our best but it was not enough.
The consolation for me is the fact that I was adjudged the best midfielder in the recently concluded league" she told the media in Lagos.

Rivers Angels lost the Super 4 opener to the defending champion Nasarawa Amazons through the lottery of penalties and also fallowed it up with another loss in the losers final on Sunday to Sunshine Queens by a lone goal.
Evelyn further explained that there is still an opportunity to make the supporters of Rivers Angels and her fans happy in the yet to be announced Champion shield.

"I am indeed motivated by the award and is also a confirmation of my quality as I have fully recovered from injury and is utmost ready for the next challenge" she concluded.
