  My Flying Eagles Will Produce Exceptional Players Who Will Step Into Kanu, Rashidi Yekini, Okocha's Shoes  - Ladan Bosso By Niyi Busari Flying Eagles coach, Ladan Bosso has assured Nigerians that the country's Flying Eagles are filled with quality players capable of filling the gaps the likes of Rashidi Yekini, Okocha, Kanu and Amokachi left behind while playing for the Super Eagles, BSNSports.com.ng can report. He added that he is ready to give the players the platform and opportunity to excel and graduate into the Nigeria senior national team and replicate the performances which have been left unfilled since the likes of Rashidi Yekini, Sunday Oliseh, Kanu Nwankwo and Daniel Amokachi retired from playing for Nigeria. "The likes of Rashidi (Yekini), Daniel Amokachi, Okocha, Kanu all have their own opportunities and played under coaches that discovered their talents and that was why they became what they were. And for me, we are going in the same lane and with that in mind, we should be able to discover players that should be able to do what those players did to take their careers to the highest." Bosso told BSN Sports. He said the Flying Eagles is leaving no stone unturned in making sure that his lads are fully fit ahead of the oncoming WAFU Zone B Championship scheduled for January, 2021. "You can see that the team is taking shape, we played one friendly on Saturday and another on Tuesday and I think we are trying to build on what we have. Before the game we tried to itemise what we need to do and after the matches we assessed them and move forward." Ladan Bosso concluded. Flying Eagles who are in group B of the WAFU Zone B championship slated to hold in Benin Republic will slug it out with Ghana and Ivory Coast for the 2020 African Nations Cup. The WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship is an association football tournament that is contested between national teams of Zone B of the West African Football Union . Seven teams were drawn in two groups of four and three. WAFU Zone B member teams were Ivory Coast, Niger, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Nigeria, Benin Republic and Togo. Togo, Benin Republic (hosts), Burkina Faso and Niger are in group A. The 2020 WAFU B championship commences on December 5th and ends 20th. The winner of each group automatically qualify for the CAF U20 African Nations Cup.
